Friday, March 10th marked the 4th year in a row Legacy Renovation gave back to our community by volunteering their time and skills to a local company who needed them. This year the United Way connected us with the wonderful folks at Centro Latino, a non-profit organization providing services to the Latino community such as Family Services, Family Support Partnership and Employment & Education Skills, to name a few. They also provide a free English as a Second Language Class to any and all who can benefit from it. Centro Latino has been working in our community and the surrounding areas for over 30 years and we were happy to work with them.
We had 19 Legacy Crew onsite completing various tasks such as painting the entire interior of the building, landscaping the bushes, trees and grass around their block, and cleaning the outside of the building. It was 4 hours of volunteering, but felt as if it flew by because of the wonderful team spirit present, and the fulfillment it brought to many of our lives, plus we were able to help a local non-profit company in our community at the same time. We are all already looking forward to our next volunteer project.
